On Monday, January 22, Foreign Minister Jacek Chuputowicz spoke with NATO Head of State, Jens Stoltenberg. Politicians discussed the status of the implementation of the decisions of the Warsaw Summit of NATO, which took place in July 2016. The meeting was held at the headquarters of the North Atlantic Alliance in Brussels. It is reported by Upmp.news with reference to Polish Radio.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

It is about the decision to place four NATO battalions in Poland, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia. Each battalion consists of a thousand soldiers. \u201cThey are perceived in the Alliance as key in order to guarantee the security of Central and Eastern Europe. We talked about deepening these decisions,\u201d said Polish Foreign Minister Jacek Chuputovych. The head of the Polish foreign ministry added that on Monday meeting they did not discuss the most recent ideas concerning the reform of the NATO command structure. As the representatives of the Alliance explained, the NATO chief and the foreign minister will not make any decisions in this matter. Next month, ministers of defense of the NATO countries will work over the reform, and the new headquarters will be deployed at the summit in July.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Two headquarters will be created – the Atlantic, which will be responsible for maritime safety, and the logistics that will be involved in the movement of military forces in Europe \u2013 in order to be able to strengthen the eastern flank. Poland is ready to accept one of the operational commands, the so-called Army.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
