It is reported by Upmp.news with reference to eurointegration.com.ua.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif; font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The decision was taken by the EU Court.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif; font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">In June 2016, the European Commission filed a complaint to the Court of the EU in which it accused Poland of lack of effective action to protect air quality.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif; font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">The EU Court acknowledged that Poland systematically, from 2007, did not comply with the daily and annual allowable values \u200b\u200bfor dust particles PM10 (10 micrometers in diameter) in the air.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif; font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">In addition, the Court has found that the EU air quality directive on providing in the shortest period of time the development of the air protection programs for cases when the contamination exceeds the norm has been misapplied,.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p align=\"justify\"><span style=\"font-family: Times New Roman, serif; font-size: 14pt; color: #000000;\"><span lang=\"en-US\">Poland is currently not penalized for violating the EU norms, but if the country does not improve air quality, the European Commission may require the imposition of daily financial sanctions of up to several hundred thousand euros.
