This morning, the same group of players who did sprints on the pitch after the match yesterday, joined by goalkeepers Georgiy Bushchan and Andriy Lunin, held a final training session of the first camp at the Eltersdorf stadium in Erlangen. The main task set by head coach Serhiy Rebrov was to ensure a workout equivalent to match intensity, as yesterday\u2019s starting lineup worked very hard against Germany and was given the chance to rest and recover today.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meanwhile, today’s group, after jogging and warming up, focused on ball recovery drills in alternating squares. Following this, the players practiced ball retention, and divided into two teams according to the coaches’ plan. Next, they engaged in game series and shooting drills.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After lunch, the blue-yellows had a meeting with UEFA’s Managing Director for Refereeing, Roberto Rosetti, who visited the Ukrainian team specifically to inform the coaching staff and players about the new refereeing innovations for the final tournament of Euro 2024. He emphasized the increased role of the captain, who will now be the one to whom referees explain their decisions if the team requires it. Meanwhile, other players are strongly advised not to approach the referee with complaints, as they risk receiving a booking. After meeting with the Ukrainians, Rosetti immediately headed to the German team’s camp at the Adidas sports campus in Herzogenaurach.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
