A key issue is the insufficient funding provided by local authorities. While the home receives valuable support from charitable organizations and individual patrons \u2014 for instance, through donations of school clothing and stationery \u2014 this assistance does not always meet the growing needs. The situation was further exacerbated during the COVID-19 pandemic when outbreaks of the disease were reported within the facility, placing additional strain on both staff and resources.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the local political level, disputes over financial management and competing priorities often take center stage. Some deputies of the community advocate for alternative projects, drawing attention away from the orphanage\u2019s pressing needs. The year 2022 brought unprecedented challenges for the Children’s Home \u201cNadiia\u201d. During the russian invasion of the Kyiv region, the orphanage found itself in the heart of the occupation zone. For several harrowing weeks, the facility was under the control of occupying forces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Amid the chaos, the dedicated staff went to extraordinary lengths to protect the children. They worked tirelessly to ensure there was enough food, maintained a sense of calm, and shielded the children from the unfolding dangers as best they could.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the liberation of the Kyiv region, the orphanage needed significant help to rebuild. The infrastructure was damaged, the supply of basic resources was disrupted, and the children’s psychological state required urgent rehabilitation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
