President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy visited the Bykivnia Graves National Historic Memorial and took part in the measures dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of Victims of Political Repressions. The Head of State laid flowers at the mass grave, put an icon lamp \nand honored the memory of the victims of totalitarianism near the \ncentral monument of the Bykivnia Graves.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, Volodymyr Zelenskyy laid flowers at the memorial to Polish burials.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The colossal scale of the crimes and their inhumane nature are \nshocking. Absolutely unnatural to both the laws of normal human \nexistence and the social order of the civilized world. The totalitarian \nmachine destroyed human lives and destinies on its way without \nhesitation,” the President of Ukraine said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volodymyr Zelenskyy stressed that modern and future generations should do everything to prevent such crimes from recurring.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“In an independent democratic Ukraine, the life and health of \ncitizens will always be my unconditional priority,” the President said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Andriy Yermak also took part in the commemorative events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
