In the Polish capital, several dozens of Greek Catholics from Ukraine drove up to the festive table. It is reported by Upmp.news with the reference to Polish Radio.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/h2>\n

For the first time at the Christmas lunch they were invited by the Warsaw group of the international community Sant’Egidio, which cares for the poor in the capital. The meeting place was provided by the Basilians Fathers from Honey Street. During the wishes need for peace in Ukraine was mentioned several times.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The leader of the Sant’Egidio community Magdalena Voln\u00edk emphasized that Poland had forgotten what was happening on our eastern border. \u201cIn Poland about one and a half million of Ukrainians, in Warsaw about 400 thousand. Therefore, we began to think, whether there are among them those who can not return to the Fatherland, because they are single or poor\u201d, – adds Magdalen Volnyk.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Ukrainians were very grateful for organizing such a meeting. Thanks to the anonymous sponsors there were occasional dishes and presents. Carols were performed in Polish and Ukrainian languages. There were also 2 guests from Syria.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The members of the Sant’Egidio community and their supporters tried themselves as waiters and carolers.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
