The conversation of Polish Prime Minister Mateus Morawiecki<\/span><\/span> and American Vice-President Mike Pence on Friday, January 12, concerned security issues, including energy security in the context of the Russian-German project Nord Stream 2, military and economic cooperation. The US Vice President also congratulated the Poles on the 100th anniversary of the regaining of the independence of their state.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

According to the American side, Mike Pence, in particular, thanked Poland for its leading role in fulfilling their duties to NATO and expressed the support for the US troops` presence in Poland. Politicians have declared cooperation in the fight against threats to world security and peace during the period of non-permanent membership of Poland in the UN Security Council.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
