POLAND AND SLOVAKIA MAY HOST THE WINTER OLYMPICS
The Speaker of the Slovak Parliament expressed such a conviction during a meeting with the Marshal of the Sejm. It is reported by Upmp.news with reference to Polish Radio.
The idea of organizing Olympic Games in Poland and Slovakia is discussed again. Marshal of the Polish Sejm Marek Kukhtsinsky and Slovak parliament speaker Andrei Danko spoke about it in Bratislava.
The Slovak politician estimated that both countries, Poland and Slovakia, would manage the organization of the Winter Olympics. Marek Kukhtsinsky, in turn, recalled that the idea of holding a joint Olympic Games appeared at the end of last year:
“The achievements of Poland, Slovakia and the Czech Republic at the current Olympiad (a dozen medals) encourage us to come back to this proposal. The most important issue for me is the development of a tourism and sports infrastructure that would serve everyone, not just during the Olympics.”
Recall that in 2014 Krakow announced its candidature for holding the Olympic Games in 2022.
