NEW MUSEUMS WILL BE OPENED ON THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF REGAINING INDEPENDENCE BY POLAND

This year, in Poland, museums dedicated to Ivan Pavel II and Jozef Pilsudski will be opened. It is reported by Upmp.news with the reference to the official site of the Polish Radio.

New museums on the history of Poland are to be a permanent monument of celebration the anniversary of the regain of Poland’s independence. This was emphasized by Vice-Minister of Culture and National Heritage of Poland Jaroslaw Sellin.

He added that several new museums will be opened in the country in order to develop Polish historical policy. Among them are: the Museum of eastern lands of the former Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth in Lublin, the Museum of the Memory of Siberia in Bialystok, the Museum of the Cursed Soldiers in Ostroleka, the Museum of the Cursed Soldiers and Political Prisoners of the Polish People’s Republic and the Museum of the Greater Poland Uprising.

The Ministry of Culture also plans to open new museums dedicated to Ivan Pavlo II and Juzef Pilsudski. Jaroslaw Sellin added that they may open already this year.
