Poland has provided medical equipment to a children’s hospital in Kyiv
The Polish Embassy in Kyiv confirmed that the “Pomnik-Centrum Zdrowia Dziecka” Institute donated medical equipment funded by the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity to the Ochmatdyt Children’s Hospital in Kyiv, which was severely damaged in a July 8 Russian missile attack. It is reported by Upmp.news with reference to “Polskie Radio”.
“Two hemodialysis machines, along with medical supplies and toys for children, have arrived in Kyiv from Poland, brought by Marek Migdał, the director of the Children’s Health Center,” reported Dr. Halina Kozinkiewicz, Vice President of the Polish Medical Association in Ukraine.
On July 8, Russian forces carried out one of the heaviest bombardments of Ukraine in recent months, resulting in 44 deaths, including 34 in Kyiv.
The attack targeted medical facilities in the capital, such as the Ochmatdyt Children’s Hospital, where two people died, and the Adonis Clinic, where nine civilians were killed.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced plans to rebuild the Ochmatdyt Hospital and promised assistance to the families of those affected by the Russian attack.
