POROSHENKO MADE A DECISION ON THE CANDIDATURE OF THE NEW HEAD OF THE NBU
Verkhovna Rada received draft resolution on appointment of the acting head of the National Bank of Ukraine Yakiv Smolov as the head of the NBU. It is reported by Upmp.news with reference to the official Facebook page of the National Police of Ukraine.
This is evidenced by the draft resolution number 7501 dated January 18, 2018.
The initiator of the bill was the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko.
Recall that the head of the National Bank of Ukraine Valery Gontareva filed a resignation on April 10, 2017. After that, she went on vacation at her expense, which is still ongoing.
Since May 11, the National Bank has been headed by Yakov Smolii as acting director, who served as the first deputy chairman of the board.
In mid-November, the deputy head of the faction of the BPP and close associate of the President Igor Kononenko, said that several candidates are being considered as the chairman of the National Bank. Among them there are Yakov Smolij and Volodymyr Lavrenchuk (chairman of the Raiffeisen Bank Aval).
