SVITOLINA RETURNS TO THE FOURTH STEP IN THE WTA RANKING

According to the results of the first game week of the new season Ukrainian tennis players showed the following results:
– 4 – Elina Svitolina – after winning the tournament in Brisbane, rose from the sixth place (5785 points);
– 43 – Lesya Tsurenko – lost one turn in the ranking (1200);
– 88 – Katerina Kozlova – fell to four positions (744);
– 94 – Katerina Bondarenko – worsened her position on one step (710).
In the season’s championship Ukrainian woman Elina Svitolina and Belinda Benchich from Switzerland (470 points) share the first position. The top 10 also included Alexandra Sasnovich (Belarus), Zhang Shui (China), Julia Gerges (Germany), Simon Halep (Romania), Aila Tomlianovich (Australia), Arina Soobolenko (Belarus), Se Shuwei (Taiwan), Michaela Buzernescu (Romania).
