THE POLISH COMPANY PGNIG SOLD OVER 1 BILLION CUBIC METERS OF GAS TO UKRAINE.
From August 2016 to December 2017 the total gas sales to Ukraine exceeded 1 billion cubic meters – reported the Polish Oil and Gas (PGNiG). It is reported by Upmp.news with the reference to Polish Radio.
Last year the amount was 700 million cubic meters. As it is underlined, the increase in raw materials is blocked by the lack of infrastructure. Mazie Wozniak, the Vice-Chairman of the company, points out that the supply of raw materials from Poland is attractive to Ukrainians due to the competitiveness of the trade offer, but also because of stability. The Polish side is pleased with the results of the sale. According to the company’s representative, these results confirm the growth of Polish oil and gas production in the region of Central and Eastern Europe. According to Argus resurch, in the third quarter of last year PGNiG was the ninth largest exporter of gas to the Ukrainian market, as well as the largest Polish exporter in this direction.
