THE PRESIDENT OF POLAND HOPES FOR GOOD COOPERATION WITH THE NEW HEAD OF THE FOREIGN MINISTRY

Polish President Andrzej Duda said he expects good cooperation with the new foreign minister Jacek Chuputovych. As a result of the reconstruction of the government, the previous Minister of Foreign Affairs Witold Waschikovsky, was replaced by Jacek Chaputovich, a professional diplomat, an expert on international affairs, a teacher of higher education. For four years he headed the Krai school of state administration, and since last year he has been working again at the Foreign Ministry.
The head of the president’s office, Krzysztof Szczarski, expressed the opinion that cooperation between the Presidential Palace and the Foreign Ministry, that are both responsible for Polish foreign policy, would be effective. According to him, the division of tasks between them this year became clear. “This year the President has several very serious tasks in the field of foreign policy – we will represent our position at the UN, and secondly – at the NATO summit, and earlier – at the meeting of the states of the eastern flank of the Alliance in Warsaw. The prime minister, the government, and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs carry out numerous tasks within the framework of the EU. We need to build relationships together in our region and the United States. I hope this year will show good coordination, strengthening of our foreign policy,” said Minister Krzysztof Szczarski.
