AN AGENCY THAT RECRUITED UKRAINIANS ILLEGALLY WAS EXPOSED IN POLAND

The Polish Border Guard Service has detected the illegal activities of the temporary employment agency in Lublin, which hired 63 foreigners in circumvent with the law. 62 of them were citizens of Ukraine. This is reported by “Polskie Radio”, referring to the press service of the Nadbugan department of the Border Guard Service of Poland.

According to the speaker of the department Dariusz Sienicki, 62 Ukrainians and one Moldovan citizen were hired without the necessary permits and contracts. He announced this on Monday, January 22nd.

All of them must leave the territory of Poland. A lawsuit was filed against the owner of the company before the court. He is faced with a fine of 30,000 zlotys.

Employees who were illegally hired by the agency, were engaged in physical labor at one of the firms in Lublin.

There are no detailed data on illegal employment.

According to the Ministry of Family, Labor and Social Policy of Poland, by the end of 2017, about 250,000 work permits for foreigners from Ukraine, Armenia, Byelorussia, Georgia, Moldova and Russia were issued in the country.
