The Hungarian Parliament adopted a resolution “on the support of Poland from the Brussels pressure”. Parliament urged the Government of Hungary not to support suggestions that would restrict the fundamental rights of Poland arising from its membership in the EU.

We urge the government of the Hungary to support Poland, not allow the restriction of the rights guaranteed to Poland by the EU in the Treatise and not to support the offers that would restrict the realization of the fundamental rights of Poland arising from its membership in the EU,” the resolution reads. The draft of the resolution was sent to the parliament by the Head of the Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Commission Sholt Nemet. Hungarian parliamentarians have already called on Hungarian MEPs not to support the proposal to apply the 7th article of the EU Treaty to Poland.
