MORAVETSKY HELD A TELEPHONE CONVERSATION WITH MIKE PENCE

The conversation of Polish Prime Minister Mateus Morawiecki and American Vice-President Mike Pence on Friday, January 12, concerned security issues, including energy security in the context of the Russian-German project Nord Stream 2, military and economic cooperation. The US Vice President also congratulated the Poles on the 100th anniversary of the regaining of the independence of their state.
According to the American side, Mike Pence, in particular, thanked Poland for its leading role in fulfilling their duties to NATO and expressed the support for the US troops` presence in Poland. Politicians have declared cooperation in the fight against threats to world security and peace during the period of non-permanent membership of Poland in the UN Security Council.
