POLISH MINISTER: THERE CAN ALREADY BE MORE THAN 2 MILLION UKRAINIANS IN POLAND
According to Beata Kempa, Poland has no problem with illegal immigration flows from Ukraine. It is reported by Upmp.news with reference to Polish Radio.
“There is no problem of illegal flow of refugees from Ukraine to Poland,” said the Minister for Humanitarian Aid in the Government of Mateusz Moravecki, Beata Kempa, in a conversation with the publication of Super Express. So the Polish official commented on the growing number of immigrants from Eastern Europe and the actions of Poland to help refugees in Syria.
According to Kempa, the Polish government is fully aware of the situation on the eastern border of the country, and the subsequent Ukrainians take Poland consciously. “According to our estimates there may be more than two million Ukrainians in Poland. Of course, many of them remain here because of the conflict in Ukraine. This is an argument that we want to present to the European Commission,” she said.
The Minister for Humanitarian Aid is also convinced that a dialogue on the truth is needed to resolve the Polish-Ukrainian relations. “Let’s take cases from the five eastern provinces of the Second Polish Commonwealth and the massacre that was committed there … I do not imagine that the Polish state would agree to glorify and praise these criminals. Ukrainians should understand this, because we are against the false memory codes,” she said.
Beata Kempa added that it was for this purpose that an updated law on INP was adopted, which would have to deal with lies through dialogue and education.
Kempa stated that by taking subsequent refugees from the east, Poland helps a much larger group of people than the European Union wants to impose. According to her, the Poles against the forced resettlement of immigrants. “When we talk to people in Poland, they ask for the government’s policy on reception of refugees and assistance there, in place, remain unchanged,” she said.
According to Beata Kempa, the Polish government does not consider the possibility of receiving further refugees from Syria. “There are no speculations and experiments in Poles’ security. These young people often do not have documents and it is difficult to check whether they are in fact refugees. The will of the citizens is such that we helped, but did not accept these immigrants in Poland”, – added the official.
