Polish Prime Minister met the representatives of the Righteous among the Peoples of the World
The Office of the Prime Minister received a letter from the Polish Righteous, who was honored by the Yad Vashem Institute in Jerusalem for the salvation of the Jews. It is reported by Upmp.news with reference to Polish Radio.
The head of government met on Monday with representatives of the Righteous Among the Peoples of the World. Mateusz Moravecki thanked them for their desire to find a compromise in the difficult situation that arose as a result of the adoption in Poland of the law on the Institute of National Remembrance.
The Office of the Prime Minister received a letter signed by 50 Polish Righteous People, who were honored by the Yad Vashem Institute in Jerusalem for the salvation of the Jews. His signatories urge the Polish and Israeli authorities to return to the path of dialogue and reconciliation.
The prime minister appealed to the audience with the words: “I thank for the extended hand to seek agreement and compromise in this difficult time, when, after decades of abandonment, the Polish state is afraid of the truth.”
Mateusz Moravetsky emphasized that the people who, during the Holocaust, saved Jews, testified to the highest test of mankind.
