Minister Mariusz Błaszczak’s first foreign visit is dedicated, in particular, to talks on strengthening NATO’s eastern flank. It is reported by Upmp.news with the reference to Polish Radio.

The head of the national defense ministry Mariusz Blašczak began his work outside Poland with a visit to NATO Headquarters in Brussels. On Monday, January 15, a meeting was held with NATO’s Chief for Allied Europe, General Curtis Scaparotti, and with the Secretary-General of the North Atlantic Alliance, Jens Stoltenberg.

The main topics of the talks are strengthening NATO’s eastern flank and the plan for the opening of new Allied Command Centers. On Tuesday, Minister Mariusz Blaschak will leave for Washington.

On January 9, Minister Mariusz Blaschak replaced Antony Matzerevich as head of the defense department.
