THE MINISTRY OF NATIONAL DEFENSE OF POLAND RECEIVED A RECORD BUDGET.

The defense budget for this year is of a record volume – said the director of the budget department of the Ministry of National Defense Lt. Gen. Slavomir Ponchek.
In addition, the budget, set in accordance with the formula of 2 percent of GDP of the year and planning at the level of 41.4 billion zlotys, is “record-breaking in quantitative terms”.
A significant part (almost 27% of defense spending) of the funds that remain at the disposal of the Minister of National Defense is the cost of technical upgrading, which will increase by 13.3% this year.
Most of the budget, almost 32 million zloty, is intended to provide external security and inviolability of borders.
Almost 3 billion zloty is planned to spend on the purchase of military uniforms, fuel and medical equipment. More than 7 billion zloty, that is 18.3%, was allocated to current expenditures and training expenses.
