THE POLICE THANKED THE POLISH RADIO

The police thanked the Polish Radio for the charity campaign. On December 14, last year, 140,000 zlotys were raised on several public radio antennas. This amount will be allocated to a family member of a police officer who died last year during a task against the criminals near Wroclaw.

The spokesman for the Chief Military Commandant, Mariusz Šiarki, said that the generosity of Polish Radio Police listeners was surprising. He emphasized that people are not very aware of the dangerous work of police officers. Meanwhile, only last year, five people died, and since 1990 – 119 police officers were killed.
