WARSAW BUYS 130 NEW ELECTRIC BUSES

The European Union will allocate 41 million euros for the purchase of 130 new electric buses for Warsaw. The corresponding decision on financing of environmental buses from the European Union Custody Fund was adopted by the European Commission. It is reported by Upmp.news with reference to Polish Radio.

The Commissioner for Regional Policy informs that each bus will be adapted for disabled persons, equipped with air conditioning and will provide sound and visual communication system for passengers.

This new European investment will improve the quality of life in Warsaw,” wrote Commissioner Corina Cretu. The politician added that appearance of electric buses on Warsaw streets, will decrease the traffic of cars and the air quality will improve considerably. Buses will start serving the Warsaw passengers in early 2021.
