ALMOST 1,500 FOREIGN CITIZENS ARE BANNED FROM ENTERING UKRAINE

The State Border Guard Service has prohibited entry into Ukraine for almost 1,500 foreign citizens because of their visits to the occupied territory of the Crimea. This is reported by Upmp.news with the reference to the press service of the State Border Guard Service.

Yesterday at the airport “Kyiv” workers of the State Border Guard Service stopped the citizen of Russia. She planned to enter Ukraine on a plane from Minsk. However, during the border control it became clear that the woman had illegally visited the territory of the temporarily occupied Crimea. The woman was actually forbidden to enter Ukraine for a term of 3 years and was sent back by the return flight.

We remind that during 2017, nearly 2.3 thousand administrative protocols were drawn up under clause 204-2 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses for violation of the order of entry and exit from the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine. In addition, almost 1,500 decisions were made to ban foreign citizens from entering Ukraine for such violations, including more than hundred celebrities.

In addition, according to the monitoring results, more than 810 people were identified who may have visited the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea.

In accordance with the legislation, in case of violation by foreigners of the rules of crossing the administrative border with the AR Crimea, entry into Ukraine is not allowed and a decision is made to prohibit entry into Ukraine. In addition, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine draws the attention of citizens of Ukraine and other states that violation of the order of entry into the territory of the temporarily occupied Autonomous Republic of Crimea through the passageways closed by the Government of Ukraine, depending on the circumstances, provides for criminal (Article 332-1 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine ) and administrative (Article 204-1 and Article 204-2 Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses) responsibility.
