SVITLYCHNA IS CONSIDERED TO BE APPOINTED AS THE HEAD OF THE CEC, THE SOURCE

Svitlychna is called to be close to the Head of the Presidential Administration Igor Rainin. The Head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration Yulia Svitlychna is considered as a candidate for the post of the Head of the Central Election Commission (CEC). Noteworthy, Svitlychna is called to be close to the head of the Administration of the President of Ukraine (UBA) Igor Rainin. Julia Svetlichna was the participant of the scandal about the hacked by separatist e-mail of Igor Rainin , the former head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration, as a result of which the alleged correspondence between them was sent to the network. Reinen objected hacking his email and and called the published materials false. On August 29, 2016, at the request of the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, Svitlychna was appointed as a Head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration. On October 4, 2016, she won the competition for the post of the permanent head of the Regional State Administration and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine unanimously supported her candidacy. And on October 15, she was appointed by the President as Head of the Kharkiv Regional State Administration. Svitlychna became the youngest chairman of the Regional State Administration in Ukrainian history and the first woman in this post in the Kharkiv region. Recall that “Narodny Front” proposed to the Presidential Administration new nominations for members of the Central Election Commission. From the previous list there was only Leontiya Shepilov’s candidacy.

Among new nominees there are Deputy Minister of Justice Natalia Sevastyanova and Deputy of the NF faction, member of the Committee on Freedom of Speech Oleksandr Sochka. Previously, it was planned that the issue of updating the Central Election Commission (CEC) could be resolved in December. The powers of the majority of the members of the CEC expired three and a half years ago – in June 2014. It has recently become known that the President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, can submit new members of the Central Election Commission to the Verkhovna Rada this week.
