THE UKRAINIAN-POLISH COMMISSION ON HISTORICAL ISSUES WILL MEET IN THE COMING MONTH
The Ukrainian-Polish Commission on Historical Issues headed by Vice Prime Ministers of the two countries Paul Rosenko and Piotr Glinsky will meet during the coming month. This is reported by Upmp.news with reference to UNIAN.
Ambassador of Ukraine to Poland Andriy Deshchytsia shares details:
“We are currently preparing for a meeting of Vice Prime Minister Rosenko with Vice Prime Minister Glinsky, who is responsible for the places of memory, historical places in Ukraine and Poland. We expect this meeting to take place over the next month. I still can not tell you a certain date, but we are working out such a meeting, depending on the schedule of work of both Ministers”, – said Deshchytsya.
The ambassador also emphasized on the intention of both countries to deepen cooperation and remove the barriers that exist between Ukraine and Poland in the issue of the historical past.
“Most likely, this meeting will be in Poland, taking into account the sequence of visits. Since the visit of Vice-Premier Glinsky in October, it was logical that there should be a visit of our Vice Prime Minister to Poland. We are working on it,” said Deshchytsia.
As reported, the new head of the Polish Foreign Ministry Jacek Chuputovych expressed hope for settlement of problematic historical issues in relations with Ukraine as soon as possible.
