UKRAINE IS A SPECIAL PLACE ON THE MAP OF EUROPE AND ITS FUTURE IS BEING DECIDED HERE

President Petro Poroshenko noted that last fall Ukraine made important steps by adopting strategic reforms. These reforms make our state more resilient internally, and that is the way to proceed this year. The Head of State thanked the partners, especially the G-7 countries, for the support of Ukraine. President Petro Poroshenko noted that Ukraine had taken important steps as regards the adoption of a number of strategic reforms in autumn 2017. They make us more resilient internally, and that is the way to proceed this year. The President thanked our partners, above all the G7 countries, for their support of Ukraine.

I thank everyone who supports Ukraine in its struggle for peace, welfare, prosperity and European future,” the President said.

Last year, particularly in autumn, Ukraine took important steps as regards the adoption of a number of strategic reforms. They make us more resilient internally, and that is the way to proceed this year,” the Head of State noted in a meeting with the heads of diplomatic missions of foreign states and international organizations accredited in Ukraine.

The President thanked our partners, above all the G7 countries, for their support of Ukraine.

According to him, Ukraine is grateful to Japan for Ise-Shima formula and for the fantastic year of Japan in Ukraine. The Head of State thanked Canada, the G7 chairmanship of which has just started, for a very intensive agenda of assisting reforms in Ukraine. “We count that this assistance would materialize, in particular, in the European plan for Ukraine,” he added.

The Strategic Defense Bulletin with NATO is brilliant example, thanks to which we strengthen our defensive potential based on principles of interoperability with the Alliance. And this year this work we will be continued, in particular in the run-up to the NATO Summit in Brussels,” the President stressed.
The Head of State thanked numerous humanitarian organizations and international donors for their valuable support in mitigating the negative consequences of the Russian aggression, above all, for their humanitarian aid to internally displaced persons and for the assistance in rehabilitation of liberated Ukraine’s territories.

We should remember that Ukraine is a special place on the map of Europe. It is here, in where the future of Europe is being decided,” Petro Poroshenko emphasized.

In contrast to a century ago, we have everything available to stand our ground. We uphold and defend the international law as our fundamental value. We have built up strong, democratic, and united nation with growing economy and powerful and patriotic army. And we enjoy unwavering unity and solidarity with you against aggression,” the President noted.

I thank those who took Ukraine into heart,” the Head of State addressed the diplomats, adding that the ambassadors are our partners, our allies and our friends.
