Dear Brothers and Sisters!

Dear Brothers and Sisters!

I express my gratitude to all member countries for supporting Ukraine against Russian war crimes.
When discussing “Human health, planetary and regional health, climate change”, it is very important to pay attention to the situation of indigenous peoples in terms of interstate conflict.
Through Russia’s military aggression against Ukraine, the UN Charter, the UN Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples, the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change are grossly violated, the Sustainable Development Goals cannot be implemented.
1.The health and lives of indigenous peoples are under threat due to the forced mobilization of the indigenous peoples of Russia and Ukraine in its occupied territories into the Russian army, which leads to the death of tens of thousands of men.
2.Young Crimean Tatar women, Lenie Umerova, who refused to receive an illegal Russian passport, stays four months in detention facility, because she tried to attend her homeland – Crimea – to take care after her sick father.
3.118 representatives of the indigenous Crimean Tatar people are in Russian prisons, and in February 2023 the political prisoner Dzhemil Gafarov died in prison.
4. The cultural heritage of indigenous peoples is endangered through the occupation and war.
5. Due to the occupation of the territory and military aggression of Russia, Mother Earth is suffering, nature is being destroyed, thousands of hectares of land are mined, thousands of dolphins died because of missile launches in the Black Sea, thousands of kilometers of trenches have been dug along the coast of Crimea.
I call on the Russian Federation to stop the war and withdraw its army from the territory of Ukraine.
Russia currently chairs the UN Security Council.
How can we trust the security of the planet to a state that commits war crimes and destroys Mother Earth?
