The first UkraineInvest Talks conference brought together participants from more than 50 countries

The conference UkraineInvest Talks: Dnipro brought together online participants from more than 50 countries, including France, Germany, Great Britain, Canada, the USA, Turkey and others. It is reported by Upmp.news with reference to Government portal.

On May 27, 2021, the first conference took place as part of a series of events UkraineInvest Talks, aimed at highlighting the investment potential of the regions of Ukraine. Gathering more than 4,000 online participants from more than 50 countries, UkraineInvest Talks served as an interactive platform for informing the investment community about the progress of reforms and the development of the investment climate in Eastern Ukraine. Considerable attention was paid to opportunities for investors in accordance with the Law on Support of Investment Projects with Significant Investments.

“Public-private partnership, the land market, the Great Privatization, and industrial parks are growth points that will attract more investment to Ukraine. The partnership between the state and business should become the basis for economic revival. This means that the state simplifies work for business and implements joint projects in various fields: from construction of new concession roads to exploration and gas production under production-sharing agreements,” said the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal in his opening statement during the event.

The event was attended by Deputy Head of the Office of the President of Ukraine Kyrylo Tymoshenko, People’s Deputy of Ukraine, Chairman of the Servant of the People political party parliamentary faction David Arakhamiya, Minister of the Cabinet of Ministers Oleh Nemchinov, and heads of regional state administrations of Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhia and Kharkiv regions, city heads, heads of the largest companies operating in the region.

“Regions of Ukraine are key drivers of economic development, which is why it is necessary to intensify the promotion of investment attractiveness of regions. It is vital to ensure that regions compete for the investor, thereby developing their capacity to work with them. With this in mind, we have launched a series of events UkraineInvest Talks. As a result of the first event, we have already received feedback on areas for improvement and have a number of appeals for new investment projects,” said Serhii Tsivkach, Executive Director of UkraineInvest.

The event was organized by the Government Investment Promotion Office UkraineInvest together with the Dnipro City Council and the Dnipro Development Agency in partnership with the USAID Competitive Economy in Ukraine Program.

“Happy that Dnipro has become a nationwide platform for such an important dialogue – about the present and the future the country is striving for. It is an experience that will help us move forward with a vengeance. After all, Dnipro is a city where people are used to achieving their goals. A city with great ambitions and an appropriate level of responsibility. We are open to anyone who wants to bring investment and new ideas here,” said Dnipro city head Borys Filatov.

This year, UkraineInvest plans to hold 4 more regional events, which will result in a national forum in Kyiv to outline the results of the investment year in Ukraine and develop an action plan for 2022. Read more at event.ukraineinvest.com.
