Andrzej Duda wrote that the current date has a symbolic meaning. He emphasized that the thirteenth point was most important for Poland. The 13-th point emphasized on “the creation of an independent Polish state, which should include all the territories with undeniably Polish population, which should be provided with free and reliable access to the sea, and political and economic independence, as well as the territorial integrity must be guaranteed by an international treaty.” “This declaration is considered an important event on Poland’s path to the restoration of sovereignty after 123 years of bondage,” Duda wrote in the document published on the website of the Office of the President of Poland.

Andrzej Duda stressed that Woodrow Wilson’s political concept relied on the values of both nations close to each other – the equality of small and large states, as well as their indisputable right to freedom and self-determination. “Friendship between the Polish and American nations, the basis of which are these values till lasts. That is why, the development of our strategic partnership is a special pleasure, the broad spectrum of which gives tangible benefits to the entire region of Central Europe”, – the telegram reads.
