A NEW NEW CROSSING POINT MAY APPEAR ON THE POLISH-UKRAINIAN BORDER.

Between Volyn region and Lublin voivodship a new checkpoint “Adamchuki-Zberezhe” may appear. It is reported by Upmp.news with the reference to the Polish-Ukrainian information resource “Monitor info”.

The Polish-Ukrainian border crossing points became one of the most important topics of the meeting of the voivod of the Lublin Voivodship with the head of the Volyn Regional State Administration. Polish and Ukrainian officials discussed projects aimed at decrease long queues at the Polish-Ukrainian border crossing points. This is one of the biggest obstacles to effective economic cooperation between Poland and Ukraine.

Working meeting of the leaders of the two regions took place last week. Certain statements were made during the talks. The most important of them is the construction of the long-awaited border crossing point “Adamchuki-Zberezh”. According to the head of the Volyn Regional State Administration Volodymyr Gunchik, this is an opportunity for both Ukrainian and Polish entrepreneurs. In his opinion, the most important thing is to expand existing checkpoints, while Poland is proposing to build a new Adamchuki-Zberez transition, which will allow more effective cooperation between Polish and Ukrainian enterprises.

Such border infrastructure should contribute to the economic and tourist development of the Polish-Ukrainian borderland.

The head of the Volyn region presented a very interesting project to create a group for joint projects not only border crossing points, but also the development of border areas. He offers Polish investors to invest in Ukrainian infrastructure development, guaranteeing them all possible benefits and support concerning investments in Ukraine”, – said the governor of the Lublin Voivodship Przemysław Czarnek.

Volodymyr Gunchyk, the head of Volyn Regional State Administration, invited the governor of the Lublin Voivodship to an investment forum to be held in Ukraine this spring. “It is important to show Polish investors that it is possible to invest in Volyn and develop Polish-Ukrainian business,” he said.

However, this cooperation is impossible without improving the conditions for crossing the Polish-Ukrainian border. Before holidays, you have to wait for a few hours to cross Ukrainian- Polish border.

This is the biggest problem, because tourism, meetings of scientists and ordinary people can not happen, because of the long queues,” said Vasyl Pavlyuk, the Consul General of Ukraine in Lublin.

The expansion of available transition points is still a priority. “Such modernization is taking place. Next year, it will be held in Zosin or Dorogusk. The documentation needed for the modernization of the frontier station in order to complete the modernization by 2022 is to be drawn up,” the voivod of the Lublin Voivodship added.

The heads of the regions also discussed the constant students and teachers exchange between the higher educational institutions of the Volyn Oblast and the Lublin Voivodship. The vast majority of foreign students in Poland, and in particular in Lublin, are Ukrainians.
