A PASSANGER AIRCRAFT CRASHED WHILE LANDING AT THE WARSAW AIRPORT

During the landing of the airplane flying from Krakow to Warsaw, the front part of the chassis malfunctioned. It is reported by Upmp.news with the reference to Polish Radio.

On Wednesday evening, January 10, at the Warsaw Chopin Airport Polish LOT airlines passenger aircraft “Bombardier Dash” crashed while landing. The airline flew from Krakow to Warsaw. The plane crash-landed without the lowered front of the chassis.

59 passengers and 4 crew members were on the board. Hubert Voitsiekhovskyi from the Chopin Airport said that nobody was hurt. Passengers were taken to the VIP-hall, where they were taken care of.

Hubert Voitsiekhovskyi assured that the situation was totally under control. He urged those traveling to follow the instructions of the police and security services.

Airplanes, that were to land in Warsaw, were driven yesterday to other airports – to Gdansk, Wroclaw and Krakow, as air traffic in the capital’s airport was suspended for several hours.

Warsaw Chopin Airport has already resumed its work and the traffic as in normal mode. The State Commission will undertake investigation of the causes of the accident for Investigation of Aviation Accidents.
