ANDRZEJ DUDA WILL TAKE PART IN THE 48TH WORLD ECONOMIC FORUM

During his stay in Davos, the President of Poland will attend many official summits. It is reported by Upmp.news with reference to Polish Radio.

Today, January 23, the President of Poland, Andrzej Duda, flies to Switzerland for the 48th World Economic Forum. During his stay in Davos, which will last until Friday, the Polish president will attend many official summits. A number of conversations are also scheduled in an informal setting.

The head of the Polish president’s office, Krzysztof Schersky, said that Andrzej Duda will take part in the summit of the most important guests of the World Economic Forum in Davos tonight.

This is a closed meeting in a circle of particularly important people or a solemn dinner, which in fact is the opening of the Economic Forum. Inaugurated heads of states – the Netherlands, Spain, Jordan, as well as presidents, prime ministers, will attend this meeting. President Andrzej Duda will represent Poland. This will be the first opportunity for informal talks, since, as you know, Davos is, first and foremost, curbside and personal communication,” said Schersky.

In the program of the President`s visit to Davos there are: participation in discussions about the significance and role of Central Europe, as well as on the development of European infrastructure. In addition, Andrzej Duda will participate in a closed discussion on the Middle East, a closed meeting with Google’s board chairman, and an honorary guest of the event, organized by one of the largest Polish banks, Pekao SA.

Approximately 3,000 politicians, entrepreneurs, representatives of financial and non-governmental organizations will take part in the 48th World Economic Forum. Among the invitees there are US President Donald Trump, German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Emmanuel Macron, and British Prime Minister Teresa May. The prime minister of Poland Mateusz Moravecki and the chairman of the National Bank of Poland Adam Glazinski will also come to Davos.

President Petro Poroshenko will represent Ukraine during a Davos meeting.
