The Prime Minister and the Minister of Agriculture visited a village. Mateusz Morawiecki and Krzysztof Jurgel visited a farm and dairy enterprise in Podlasie. On occasion, the Prime Minister shared his own experience.

I spent my childhood in the village. I told the owner, Mr. Grzegorz, that once I was well coping with the milking cows,” the prime minister said. Having met the farmers, it’s time to raise the glass of milk. “Farmers are key individuals for the normal existence of the country. Their work needs to be appreciated properly. You should also appreciate the Polish product”, – said Morawiecki. He emphasized that it is unacceptable that in Polish foreign trade networks it is almost impossible to sell Polish products.

Today we are an example of a single market of the European Union,” said Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki. He noted that trade networks organize thematic sales weeks on Italian, Portuguese, Spanish or French products. He called for the same initiatives for Polish products – at least once a month. “Polish products should be sold more freely, as is the case in western countries that protect their markets, despite the fact that we all belong to a single European market,” he said.

According to the prime minister, foreign companies predominantly own large retail nets in Poland. “We are part of the EU – we respect this. I ask these networks to deal with patriotism. Let them treat Polish producers and farmers not only with the respect that belongs to every person, but also, first of all, form a trade relationship with fair buying and selling,” the head of government said. He added that there will be an observation on whether there will be a monopoly, because Poland wants to develop competition.
