At the Swiss ski resort of Davos, the 48th World Economic Forum begins. Three thousand guests from the world of politics, business and show business take part in the forum. Klaus Schwab, the initiator of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Swiss President Alain Berce and India’s prime minister, Narenda Modi opened the meeting.

The motto of this year’s forum is “For the sake of a joint future in a divided world,” and President Berse called for cooperation between states.

In Davos, they expect the US President Donald Tarmup to meet on Friday. Andrzej Dudu, Polish President and Polish Prime Minister Mateusz Moravecki, as well as German Chancellor Angela Merkel, French President Emmanuel Macron and British Prime Minister Teresa May attends this year’s forum.

The main purpose of the forum since its inception in 1971 is to change the world better. Critics, however, believe that meetings in Davos do not bring anything new. Therefore, this year’s opponents of the World Economic Forum promised numerous demonstration, but all were withdrawn due to adverse weather conditions. Record snowstorms blocked the road to the city, as well as the traffic in Davos itself. The easiest way to get to the forum is by helicopter.

The World Economic Forum in Davos will last until Sunday.
