THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT WILL NOT LAUNCH THE 7TH ARTICLE OF THE EU TREATY ON POLAND.
On Thursday, the European Parliament will officially announce the final decision in the case of Article 7 of the Treaty on European Union concerning Poland. It is reported by Upmp.news with the reference to Polish Radio.
The heads of political parties of the European Parliament have decided to abandon the procedures for launching the 7th article of the Treaty on the European Union concerning Poland. A new resolution on the rule of law in Poland is also planned.
Recall that in December, the decision to launch 7 th article on Poland was adopted by the European Commission.
“The article 7th question was discussed during yesterday’s coalition of heads of political parties in the European Parliament. It was decided that the European Parliament cancels the ongoing work on the report of the committees on civil liberties, justice and home affairs and will open a new procedure in connection with the launch of Article 7,” the source said.
It is also noted that the European Parliament is planning a new resolution on the rule of law in Poland during one of the forthcoming sessions.
According to unofficial information, the decision of the heads of political parties will probably be officially confirmed on Thursday during their meeting with the head of the European Parliament Antony Tayani.
