THE FIRST TELEPHONE CONVERSATIONS OF THE HEAD OF THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS OF POLAND

Minister Jacek Czaputowicz confirmed the position of Poland on territorial integrity of Ukraine, as well as its European aspirations. It is reported by Upmp.news with the reference to Polish Radio.

Peter Siairto and Pavlo Klimkin, the heads of Hungarian and Ukrainian Diplomatic Corps – were the first telephone interlocutors of the new Polish foreign minister Jacek Czaputowicz.

As reported in the communiqué of the Foreign Ministry, the state of bilateral relations was discussed in a conversation with the Hungarian counterpart. Both ministers drew attention to their “unprecedented saturation.” An important element of the conversation was the cooperation within the framework of the Visegrad Group, which is now headed by Hungary.

Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin congratulated Polish Minister Jacek Czaputowicz on joining the post. The participants of the foreign policy departments discussed the current issues of Polish-Ukrainian relations.

Minister Jacek Czaputowicz confirmed the position of Poland on territorial integrity of Ukraine. As noted, Poland will continue to support the European aspirations of Ukraine. The Polish minister also expressed the hope that the problematic historical issues in the relations between the two countries will be resolved as soon as possible.
