Minister for Foreign Affairs of Poland Jacek Chaputovych takes part in a briefing of the UN Security Council in New York. The meeting is dedicated to the principles and objectives of the United Nations Map in the context of preserving international peace and security.

The Security Council should be a guardian of sovereignty and peaceful resolution of disputes between states, a ban on the use of force in territorial disputes and the protection of fundamental rights and freedoms,” said Jacek Chaputovych. The head of the foreign policy office pointed to the effectiveness of the United Nations, in particular, the release of Kuwait from the occupation of Iraq in 1991.
