THE SEJM OF POLAND ADOPTED THE LAW ON BUDGET

The Ministry of Finance predicts economic growth at 3.8% in 2018. Prices are to increase by 2.3%. It is reported by Upmp.news with the reference to Polish Radio.

Prime Minister Mateusz Morawiecki thanked the deputies for adopting the budget for 2018. He assured that the funds would be enough to implement everything that was planned. According to the law, the deficit this year should not exceed 41.5 billion zloty.

The head of the cabinet said that raising taxes in the public sector is necessary in order to provide means for raising pensions. He added that there is enough money for other purposes, such as building highways, railroads, for infrastructure development and housing.

Mateusz Morawiecki emphasized that the increase in health care expenditures in 2018 will be the largest in the last 28 years and will amount to PLN 93 billion. This is an increase of 6 billion. “When the implementation of the budget is better, we share this with people, with society,” – said the Prime Minister.

The head of the government promised to continue work on improving taxes.

240 deputies voted for the adoption of the amended budget, against it were 189 and two abstained from voting.
