Ukraine and Poland are strategic partners, and countries have no choice but to cooperate – the ambassador. It is reported by Upmp.news with reference to Interfax-Ukraine.

The Foreign Ministers of Ukraine and Poland will make a joint position on issues during the meeting, and Jacek Chatutovich has an understanding that the countries are strategic partners, says Ambassador of Poland to Ukraine Jan Piekko.

There is a change (the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland – IF), I think, there will be a meeting of foreign ministers of Ukraine and Poland, after which we will hear their joint position at the press conference. I think there is no other way for our countries to cooperate. We are strategic partners. This is clear as for the previous head of the Foreign Ministry, as for the new Head and for Ukrainian,” he said in a comment to the Interfax-Ukraine agency on Monday in Kyiv.

The diplomat stressed: “We must discuss the details, conduct a broad dialogue with ministers, and society. We have a common destiny”.

Earlier on Monday, Foreign Minister of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin said that he had agreed with his Polish counterpart Y. Chaputovich about the meeting in late February. “We will talk with our Polish friends on the basis of our friendly relations, this is the way, and it is necessary to stop various speculation and politicization of this issue (historical differences – IF),” he said in a press conference on the results of Ukrainian diplomacy in 2017 year and on priorities for 2018.
