ZDISLAV KRASNODEMSKY WAS ELECTED AS NEW VICE-SPEAKER OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT

Polish MP from the party Law and Justice Zdzislav Krasnodemsky was elected as a new vice-speaker of the European Parliament. During today’s vote, the candidate from the European Conservatives and Reformists faction defeated Indrek Tarand, a representative of the Green Group. The candidacy of Polish politics was supported by 276 deputies. The politician became one of the 14 vice-speakers of the European Parliament.

Zdzislav Krasnodemsky replaced Ryshard Charnetsky’s removed from this post in connection with his outrageous statements about the Polish parliamentary deputy Rugz Toon, from the party Civic Platform.

In a conversation with the Polish Radio Krasnodemsky stressed that he would take into account the rights of all parties represented in the European Parliament. He stressed that he wanted an open dialogue with various political forces. The politician assured that he would maintain a political balance so that everyone in the European Parliament had equal rights.

When I was a speaker, I always thought that no left or right should have been excluded. Likewise, I will work as Vice-President of the European Parliament,” he said.

Zdzislav Krasnodemsky received good feedback for his work from the Energy and Industry Committee, because he is known for his cooperation with European deputies from different political groups. The politician himself said that if he was elected to the position of vice-speaker of the European Parliament, he would combine new responsibilities in the committee on the gas directive, aimed at preventing the construction of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline. Zdzislav Krasnodemsky cooperates with the chairman of the committee Jerzy Buzek, who is the author of the report on this issue.
